The beach and dunes of Maspalomas are only a few minutes away. The reception will provide you with beach towels and water.
BREAKFAST BUFFET
Treat yourself with our delicious breakfast buffet from 8.00 am to 11.00 am each day. For our early departing guests and early risers we offer a small breakfast from 7.00 am to 8.00 am inside the restaurant.
BREAKFAST ROOM SERVICE
We will be happy to serve breakfast in your room from 8.00 am till 12.00 am. Please hang your order on the door knob of your room the evening before.

The bridge room is located behind the piano bar.

DRESS CODE
Our dress code for dinner is upscale casual. In the evening please do not wear sportswear, shorts or sports shoes. During the winter season we kindly ask men to wear a jacket. Furthermore we ask you not to wear swimwear in the lobby and to cover your upper body at the pool bar.
DRINKING WATER
Tap water in Spain is no potable water. The water used in our hotel to prepare food beverages and ice cubes is always sterilised.
DRY CLEANING SERVICE
Please refer to the laundry list in your closet. You need your laundry washed or ironed urgently? We are pleased to offer you our express cleaning service and our one hour ironing service.

GOLF
Due to the mild climate on Gran Canaria, golfers can indulge in their favourite sport the whole year. Seven excellent golf courses are in close proximity to the hotel. Combine your holidays in the Grand Hotel Residencia with improving your handicap. Our guests receive a discount on the green fees at the various golf courses of the island.
We would be pleased to book your tee-times, assist with transportation arrangements and golf lessons.

POOL BAR
The Pool bar is open from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm. You can enjoy cocktails, fresh juices, coffee, ice cream and cake. Lunch is served from 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Refreshments are also served pool side.

Pool chairs are available at the swimming pool. Towels are provided by our Pool service. We have sufficient pool chairs for all our guests – please refrain from reserving. Furthermore we ask you to refrain from topless.

Towels for the sun chairs are provided by our pool service. Beach towels can be obtained at our reception.

SPORT AND RECREATION
From Monday to Friday you can join the water gym in our saltwater pool at the Grand Hotel Residencia. Yoga- and Tai Chi courses are offered at our sister hotel Palm Beach. Personal trainer for private lessons on request.

SUNDAYS
Every Sunday at 6.30 pm we invite the arriving guests of the week for a glass of cava in our Piano Bar.
SWIMMING POOL
The heated saltwater pool is the heart of the Residencia palm grove. The depth of the pool ranges from 0.80 to 1.80 m. The usage of the pool is at your own risk. Parents are requested to supervise their children. We kindly ask you to shower before swimming. For early risers there is a coffee station available from 7.00 am on.
TEA PARTY
Twice a week a “Tea Party” is taking place on the terrace of our Piano Bar. We invite you to enjoy some coffee, tea and delicacies from our pastry shop.
TELEPHONE
The telephone booklet in your room contains all the important information you need. The phones are equipped with voicemail. Please press the “Voicemail” button and then the “OK” button twice.
TENNIS
One tennis court (synthetic turf with silica sand) is available in our sister hotel Palm Beach. Please ask our reception team for further information. Please wear tennis gear.

Respect that some guests retire early. We ask you to be considerate in the public areas from 10.30 pm to 7.00 am, and not to use the pool before 8.00 am and after 9.00 pm.
DURING THE BATH …
The ideal bath water temperatures for use are:
For hydromassage operation, you can use bath salts or oils but MAKE SURE you NEVER use a foamy product!
For operation without hydromassage you can enjoy a foam bath, shower gels or algae etc. in your bath.
Repeated moderate baths are more recommendable than excessively long or intense use.
The hydromassage programmes are conceived to work for 20 minutes. You can nevertheless stop this at any time.
HYDROMASSAGE
The bath uses the Air and Water / Air system.
USAGE
Alternate starting and stopping the water pump for an invigorating effect.
The air regulator enables adjusting the force of the spurt at the outlet of the hydrojets thanks to the Venturi effect, based on supplying air to the water circuit. The air regulator should be turned one way or the other, in order to obtain the required massage force.
You can switch on or switch off the light during the bath.
To know how to escape from a fire can be the key for your survival!
Learn where the exits of this building are. Observe the plan behind the door of your room.
Learn the location of the alarm switches and how to activate them. Activate them as soon as you notice the smoke or the fire. It ist very important to warn the people who are with you and remember that you must ALWAYS raise the alarm. Thus, you guarantee the rapid presence of the fire brigade and avoid a little fire of the getting out of control.
When you hear the alarm signal, leave anything you are doing, go out quickly and close all the doors you pass through. Once you are outside the building, stay there until the reception staff indicates you that you can safely come back.
Go to an alternative route. If you find yourself in a smoke-filled place, go on all fours, since the air close to the floor is in general cleaner and fresher.
Close the door. Make signs from the window to the fire brigade. If there is a telephone in the room, inform about your exact location, even if you have been seen making signs.
Fill all the gaps of the doors, the ventilation gaps in the toilets and, in general, all the gaps und cracks through which the smoke could get in. Open the window just a little to get fresh air. Only if it is absolutely necessary, break the glass. Make signs to the fire brigade from the window.
Most times fires are caused by a little seat, which can be put out with a fire extinguisher, if you know how to work it. The following directions must be applied ONLY if you are sure that you can escape and AFTER HAVING RAISED THE ALARM, for example, pressing the closest alarm switch you see.
DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN DANGER.
GIVE PRIORITY TO EVACUATION.
DO NOT LET THE FIRE SURROUND YOU.
DO NOT ACT BY YOURSELF.
After having raised the alarm in the most rapid way, take the closest fire extinguisher (but do not work it) and approach the fire. Release the sealed bolt, take in one hand the mouth of the fire hose and press the trip lever. Aim at the base of the fire making a sweeping motion. Do not stop until you have emptied the fire extinguisher.
